Room Mate Aitana
Nice boutique hotel situated on a Marina 10 mins away from Central Amsterdam - great place to stay and good location! Had a fantastic room on 10th floor with nice views and a shower big enough for two. Breakfast ok! Definitely recommended The train station is only five minutes away.

Van Gogh Museum
This is really a popular tourist destination and the queues are gigantic. Luckily we booked online and this queue was much smaller. The art inside really captures the essence of the artist as it should. Saw lots of pieces I believe one would never see and the story of Van Gogh is amazing. There's additional art work all around the museum which is a added touch to the whole experience.
Restaurant Lastage
Took my partner here for his birthday meal - he chose it! What can a say except what an exceptional restaurant! Really smart boutique establishment - everything was perfect down to the chose of wine! One of our favourites Sancerre. We had 5 courses, although we only booked a three course meal - we were given a amuse bouche and a pre-desert taster! Truly wonderful and great dinner experience Will say our waiter for the evening was top snitch and she was very very helpful
Red Light District
Yes the red light district it's passé - once you've seen one woman cavorting you've seen it all - boring by all accounts but of course those wanting a cheap thrill will like it of course.
Centraal Station
The station is pretty cool and trains running everywhere but easy access to the airport which is so important But what's so great about the station is the "grand cafe" is from the 1930/1940's I guess but is a must if you're having to catch a train from the major station
Rembrandtplein
Euromast Tower
I'm not a lover of heights so I struggle. But the views over Rotterdam are very spectacular and the quirky bedroom on top is great for a romantic night. You're able to go up a further height which was my mistake in a sky pod, I was physically ill thereafter but don't let this put you off.
Royal Delft - Koninklijke Porceleyne Fles
Great visit and pleasantly surprised here. Didn't expect that I would enjoy this but this museum has a lot of history and the pottery was great and watching the employees at work and their demonstration was awesome
Madurodam
This blew me away! I heard about it but wasn't aware how spectacular it would be. Amazing mini Holland showcases everything about the country and more - it was totally fantastic it really was and great for kids and of course us adults who can be like kids too! Best 2 hours here.
